Would a a i7 7700k be better off alone than be paired with a GTX 1050ti?

For gaming? No, a dedicated GPU is always going to be better, but unless you get both things for really cheap, I wouldn't bother buying them.

The 1050 Ti is probably 4-5 times faster than the 7700K's iGPU (UHD 630). The game would still be playable, but you'd have a better experience with a dGPU.

Thank you, and yes im planning to do casually gaming like valorant. I got a whole pc setup for $250. Do you think it was worth it, and do you think its enough to play some gpu intensive games?

no, older intel igpus are very weak, a 1050ti is much stronger and you'll actually be able to play a lot of games, unlike with a 7th intel igpu.

newer games? yes, mostly, with very low settings...  its an old pc for 250 bucks, what do you expect?  you're still much better off with the 1050ti than with the igpu.
