New setup is showing Memory Management bluescreen

Go to solution Solved by porina,

Ram is unstable. What speed is it? If you have XMP/DOCP/EXPO on, try it off. The question is if the ram is faulty, or just unstable at higher speed.

Hey folks,

I just built my setup.
Ryzen 5 7600X
Nzxt n7 b650e motherboard
Corsair vengeance cl36 64gb (4x16)
Asrock steel legend RX 7800 XT

Deepcool 360mm aio

Hyte y40 case

I first thought it was the motherboard as I changed it from Asus ROG Strix B650e but the blue screen still didn't stop. I have not overclocked my rams but it's been getting constant memory management BSOD. I tried memtest86+ and it starts showing error on test 10 sleeping, I am a newbie to all these, whatever I tried, I looked up on Google and checked. I couldn't get a fix. Any good soul can help with what the problem might be?

Thank you so much.

The RAM and board are both DDR5? and try with 2 sticks instead in ports 2 and 4, if that doesnt work try with just one stick, likewise, then swap out the sticks and cycle through each one, a single stick might be bad and throwing it all off, if none of that works inspect both the RAM contacts and the ports

The RAM is well seated also?

I thought it may be the DOCP but it's not, I turned off overclocking and was running at 3600Mhz. I also tried to isolate the ram by individually putting in one and run memtest86 on it, and stranglely enough all 4 rams fails at the same test, which is test 10, sleeping.

Yes both ram and board are ddr5. I tried a single stick at a time too, I ran memtest86 on individual rams, all 4 rams fail on test 10. What might be the reason for it? Doesn't the motherboard support these rams? I've used it on Asus rog strix  b650a and it had the same memory management issue.

Are they XMP or EXPO tuned sticks? youll want sticks tuned to your CPU, in your case EXPO for AMD, though im not sure if that would affect whats happening with EXPO or DOCP turned off

I'd say if you have another kit of memory try it on first, but that ram it's not ideal for the platform you are running it on.

I have also experienced same memory management bsod's in the past and they were related with CPB and the CPU. You could try disabling CPB and do the tests again, that could be it.

I just talked with a friend who's built a same setup, his rams are same too but the model number is different and he has had no issue as such. I guess that's the last thing I can try now. 😓

I'd also recommend going with G. Skill ram.  Corsair has issues with AM5, as you see, among others.

It's very hard to find a good looking g.skill ram. The motherboard QVL shows this version to support. Should I go ahead with this one?

Yeah, if it's supported on the QVL it's been tested.

Oh, you want to look at the RGB RAM all the time?  Desk PC next to you?

Hahaha not quite, I don't need the RGB honestly, just white sticks would do the trick for me.
