Lenovo ThinkCentre not detecting GT 1030 GPU - black screen and no BIOS access

I have a guy who wants to buy my GT 1030 for his Lenovo ThinkCentre. I went to his place and installed it, but it only showed a black screen. I couldn’t even get into BIOS when using the GT 1030 as a display and even when using the iGPU when the gt 1030 is still plugged in, the only way i could get into bios is by removing the GPU. I also changed the video priority in the bios to use PCIe, but it didn’t work. Are there any solutions for this? Is it incompatible ? I tried to install GT 1030 drivers on windows, but they couldn’t install because I guess the GPU is not being detected. It’s not showing on the task manager or on the device manager when I use the iGPU with the GPU installed on the PCIe slot.

Ideally try another PC, but I've had a 1030 just die out of the blue in a similar way, worked fine last time I used it, the next it was gone.

Yeah, I tried it last night on my own PC, R5 5600, GA-A320m, it works okay, do I need drivers from Lenovo and not From Nvidia, because I found this on lenovo's website but the list doesn't include GT 1030, do I need to install this driver?
Edit: GT 1030 still working now on my PC, currently using it

I found the culprit (i guess) since the guy has an "old" setup I had to use a VGA to HDMI adapter, turns out it's not an active adapter maybe that's why, also, used a DVI-d to HDMI on my test bench and it worked It's a cable problem I guess, Thanks for your response!
