UPGRADE TIME!!!

Go to solution Solved by micedits,

Honestly if you ask me the difference between 3770k and 4770k isn't justifiable so I would just get a different Z77 motherboard, check ebay for some I managed to get my current one in perfect working order for about the a quarter of the original price, look for asus, gigabyte or msi motherboards.

Now the graphics card I honestly feel, like many others, that unless you're doing 3d rendering and a lot of production work + gaming the titan is a complete waste of money and is litterally just for bragging rights so on that note I would go for a 780ti, or if you really want to throw money around get two.

Fans wise I always go with corsair or noctua but, noctua over corsair if you can afford them.

Hola tech peeps of the interwebs I come to you for a mission, upgrading my gaming pc.

Now I'm not an advance player computer building game, in fact the pc im running now I built last year (my first child, I'm so proud lol)

Since it was my first I did everything without a real care so this time around I want a more effcient, faster stronger comp that I wont have to really worry about for a while

and yes I will be overclocking.

Here are my specs so far.

CASE: Fractal Define R4

CPU: Intel i7-3770k

MOBO: Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H

COOLER: Corsair H100i

PSU: Rosewill 750W 80 PLUS GOLD

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770

SSD: Dont worry about it cause its dead (never trusting OCZ again)

HDD: 1 WD Green 3TB and 2 WD Blue 1TB

RAM: Mushkin 16GB Blackline

OS: Windows 7 (I just like it better than 8.1)

So yea, keeping the case, cooler, os and that's it. I want a 4770k and I a gtx titan but dont let that stop you from recommending other graphic cards.

Also can you recommend fans, I was think noctuas but hey its your educated opinion. I don't really have a budget right now so I'm technically writing a blank check...but lets not get crazy.

Thanks in advance I'm really looking forward to your upgrade ideas.

Get the GTX 780Ti instead of a Titan.

And upgrading to Haswell is a waste of money if you have Ivy Bridge.

Get a new SSD.

You don't really have to anymore, they've gone bankrupt.

add a ssd again and add another 770 and you will be good

a upgrade for the 3770k to a 4770k is virtually non existent and for gaming you would be better off to add a 770 over a titan because the titan is more a dev card than a gaming card, if you want a entirely new gpu put in a 780ti

since you seem so baller with the cask you could even add a third 770 for 3wat sli as it is more stable than 2way sli

OCZ is now Toshiba. So don't trust Toshiba either then.

Also, don't get the 4770k, if I remember right that is just like a 10% performance increase. What I would do is get another GTX 770 and run it in SLI, and add Noctua fans (or fractal define fans for even quieter operations) to the case.

I don't see what's wrong with the specs you have now. Get an SSD. That's all you need.

Specs are on my profile page

Get an 840 evo ssd, add a gtx 770, and nb-eloops are nice fans. Noctua now has black fans too, incase the color was why you're hesitating on using them.

I'd say get a 780Ti (or 2) or R9 295X2  both beat titan  and barely cost more than it, as it's a grand  and 780TI and 290x each beat it 1v1titan and you'd have 2 :P ...    .-. and cpu wise just wait for 4970k

put a second 770 in and watercool them, and add a ssd and your mobo is fine to sli or anything else, unless your onboard sound is bad, but with the money you save instead of getting a titan, you could get a usb dac
