How do I remove the side panel on Corsair 5000D?

lerodemmy

It has these arrows that I assume are telling me to grip the tabs and pull toward me.  I tried that and it’s not budging.

I don’t want to pull too hard and break something.  I’m just not sure if the panel is hooked onto something else that’s preventing it from coming off easily.

Slide it backwards first a little.

It should swing out as its hinged, according to the promotional material.

From personal experience: The back panel does require some force to get off.

No, it does not. Its well.. regular. The promotional vid is kind of stupid in that regard.

Case teardown videos are some of the most useful content. I've already timestamped the video so just click play.

I can't imagine what would be hindering it from opening. You've visually inspected inside, just to be safe and found nothing weird?

Pull back slightly and you'll feel it come loose then swing it open.

It's not it's a weird design and their marketing is confusing. Basically just has right angle hooking tabs that are stuck until you pull it back a bit

Thanks for the responses, everyone.

@BlueChinchillaEatingDorito It’s not hinged.  It just looks like it is in the video.  It starts to open like it’s hinged, and then it comes off completely.

@Alinz @jaslion Yes.  There’s no way to know (from what I could tell) that those hooking tabs are there, and that it’s going to require some force to remove the panel.
