Is 1000Watts enough?

Im wondering if 1000 watts is enough for this build? And also I have a lot of peripherals on my PC (ca. 30-50W)

That's more than plenty. 

 

Why not go with a RTX 4090 after nearing 1580.90 Euros? They can be had for just a 100 more or so.

Because I had the 3050 before I upgraded to the 4080 but my second monitor on 4K Tanks the performance quite a bit and I now want to put the old 3050 as a 2nd card

Oh ok, then you should have just left it as 0.00 in the parts list to show you have it (that's what I typically see). How much do used 3050s go for on the used market in your area?? It may be worthwhile to go that route since the 4080 and 3050 are two different families of GPUs and may have driver issues.  You're better off just using the 4080 or sell the 3050 and upgrade to a 4090 if it's worthwhile.

I can get about 225 in my area.

When you're gaming on one monitor, you fire up a YT video in 4k on the other and your fps goes way down?

I mean the Yt 4K takes about 15-20% performance off

Im going to sell the 3050 in about half a year to a friend but I figured why not put it in till then

That's not terrible but then it would definitely be more for a 4090. However you want to go from here on what to purchase would be up to you if you can afford that.

I’ll definitely stay on the 4080. I just have the 3050 lying around and wanted to know if it makes sense to put it in to my build

No problem. For your FPS issue with the 4K video though, how much VRAM are you using in the games your experiencing issues with? I doubt 4K YT compressed should take up much.

You’re right now that I think about it I’m close to the 16 GB of Vram

You're probably hitting the page file where it will overspill into RAM, which takes a big performance penalty hit there.

Do keep in mind that you should be using high settings instead of ultra to lower vram usage if you aren't already. Ultra settings tank performance with little noticeable difference in visual quality. For me I can't tell the difference in 99% of games. Also youtube videos will hit your cpu as well so it might not even be the video card that is lowering performance but your cpu having to share resources between then game and youtube.

Then why get another 16GB VRAM card?

 

Why  not the 7900XTX or 4090?

 

If you're gaming 4K max settings... pony up.
