Bosd on several different games unsure if games or my pc but help

Manualkiller

Hi guys my pcs been acting up recently and its frying my brain

SPECS

CPU: I7 7700k old
GPU: Rtx3080 less than 6 months old
PSU: 1000w Rog strix PSU less than 6 months old
RAM: 32gb 3600mhz ram corsair Rgb(2x16gb) 3months old
MOBO: Asus Asus z170 pro old

So i have had issues with 3 games so far

Dead space remaster
can only play for 5 mins plays fine then crashes has BOSD once but all other times just closes (loads of people having issue with this game tho so unsure)

Frostpunk
plays fine for a few hours and then will crash and after that can only play for 10-15 mins before crashing and has blue screened onced

Call of duty cold war
Has blue screened a few times and has crashes multiple

What i have tried
Checked my gpu drivers was up to date
Reset windows
Made sure temps was fine whilst playing
(was a bit toasty but nothing crazy)
Cleaned out any dust (not much in there anyway)

Read the windows dumps with who crashed which just said (memory/driver issues)

What i think the culprit may be is my Ram as i play more demanding titles the ram speed picks up to 3600mhz and the Mobo can only support 3200mhz i found out so im thinking if i manually slow it this may stop the crashes and bosd???

I have used the memory diagnostic tool and it came back with no errors

Also im going to update my Mobo as there is an update but i dont think its this. I have only recently started playing demanding games so have never really pushed my pc.

This pc has ran fine for 6 months and now all of sudden doesnt

Was just wondering what peoples thoughts was and maybe things i could try as i feel if these dont work im really gonna have no clue what to do at all  and will probably need to pay to take it to a shop thanks to anyone who gives advice

Have a great day :)

Can you let us know if the Windows Event Viewer (System) had recorded anything of interest?

If you see a 'display driver' error specifically one reporting that display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding then that will help narrow down the list of culprits.

3 things to try as follows:

1. As you already mentioned, run you 32gb Ram at a slower speed.

2. Try running 16GB (both speeds)

3. Fresh install of Windows. Can be a pain if you have loads of files that are difficult to back up on the cloud but its usually my first port of call to rule our a driver / windows / software issue.

What about other games? The memory speed does not change while in use. You can disable XMP in bios to reset it to base clocks. Did you buy a new 3080 or a used one? Any other GPU you can try out with to rule out the GPU?

This is whats so strange cause it runs other games fine no problems at all but a lot of the games i play aren't demanding and these games are a bit more so i think its when the pc gets pushed

the 3080 was brand new aswell are a lot of the components the only older parts are the cpu and mobo

The results from who crashed was pretty general and i did google it and it just said its either the gpu drivers or my ram

im gonna try uninstall and reinstall my gpu drivers as i have already done a test on my ram and it had no errors so i dont think its my ram but i will still try different sticks

i did try and fresh install of windows but no luck 😞
