Suggestions for a work monitor for large spreadsheets that isn't too expensive?

Elarion

Does anybody have suggestions on a monitor for work purposes? Currently using a 24" ThinkVision, but it's a bit small and low resolution for the size of the spreadsheets I am working with. I was looking at a Dell S3422DWG, since it is only $350, but it's not very tall. I don't want to spend much on this, as it's for work and not for play. Any suggestions?

LG 32GN600-B  is 31.5" monitor, 2560x1440 165 Hz VA panel : https://pcpartpicker.com/product/3HkgXL/lg-32gn600-b-315-2560x1440-165-hz-monitor-32gn600-b

Apparently it's $209 at Walmart.

This Acer would also work , $200, 31.5", ips panel , only 60 hz, https://www.amazon.com/Acer-EB321HQU-Cbidpx-Monitor-Display/dp/B07X6KJKNZ/

There's an Acer CB282K 28" 3840x2160 at around $300 https://www.amazon.com/Acer-CB282K-smiiprx-FreeSync-Adjustable/dp/B087GS7188/

or the Asus TUF Gaming VG289Q1A 28" 3840x2160 at round same price : https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VG289Q1A-Adaptive-Sync-FreeSync-DisplayPort/dp/B083Z2RPB9/

but 2160 pixels may be a bit too much for a 28" screen to be comfortable, may strain your eyes or may have to use scaling  and that would defeat the purpose.

If you want smaller screen, LG 27GN800-B, 27" 2560x1440 at $199.4 : https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qcxRsY/lg-27gn800-b-270-2560x1440-144-hz-monitor-27gn800-b

Wouldn't go lower screen size at that resolution, too small pixels.

Sadly, the LG one is out of stock. I'll have to take a look at that Acer 31.5" one though. The 27" ones wouldn't be that much of an increase over my current 24", which doesn't display very much at all.

I currently use the Del S3220DGF. The DWG looks to be about the same spec wise other than being 34". I use mine for spreadsheets and gaming and it does both very well. My only wish is that it was a bit wider to fit a little more on the screen while working, maybe a 34 or even 38 might be best for my purpose. Just my two cents.

For spreadsheets, I always prefer longer the better, which means Ultrawide or Super Ultrawide as you can seen more column.

To me, scrolling left right will make yourself confuse and look wrongly, but scrolling up and down is just fine.

I would personally not get 1440p 31,5", pixel density is too low. Either go 1440p 27" maximum or 4k 31/32"
