Corsair SPEC-01 case modding help

Hi all, i seen this case mod for the SPEC-01 that removes the HDD bay

I understand how to remove the HDD bay and that, that's not a problem, however this user as able to place it into the ODD bay to suspend their hard drives, any tips or solutions on how to do this with minimal hassle

Tools etc arent an issue, just wondering if anyone has done anything like this before and are able to provide any help; because, to my understanding, the HDD bay has been cut down to size, however in doing so this would(?) remove the mounting holes for the screws. In the picture it just looks like they cut the HDD bay down and slid it it in place. However if all you want to do is mount some hard drives in the 5.25" bays, I wouldn't even bother doing all that. Just using some 5.25" to 3.5" adapters. They make these in all sorts of varieties.

Example Amazon Link ( <- I used to use these all the time)

Example Amazon Search Results

I think this would be much easier.

Oh wow, they look handy, I opted for good old zip ties instead, theyre fairly secure and ive yet to implement the fan i want (parts on the way) but the HDD bay has been removed and all, havent yet been able to test temps or if the airflow has improved, currently not in the vicinity of my pc but will post pics tomorrow if that interests anyone

Apologies for the late reply, mods attached to the pc are shown in the images below, ended up just suspending the hard drive in the ODD bay with zip ties and adding a 40mm fan to the ODD bay covers, lmk if you wanna know anything about anything. Overall happy with the result!
