A few weeks ago being the nerds we are; me and my friends decided to purchase the game of thrones board game and play it in my friends garage on a weekly basis.

It was our first session last Wednesday and i was amazed at how fun it was. It just isn't the same as playing a video game with each other as when your face to face it is a lot easier to mess around and have a laugh imo.

Now it's 2013 and everybody is moving online i was wondering if anybody still goes around to there mates house for a laugh instead of using voice chat until the early hours of the morning or if you think that this behavior is being killed off by things like Skype.

One last thing do you think hanging around with friends physically will ever be replaced with it's online equivalent completely?

I dont think being with your friends will be replaced with online-interaction... anytime soon but in 500 years who knows, they ll think we lived in the dark ages lol

Also where are you located? Because im in Europe so if you are in the US then actually find a time to play would be a real b*tch

Hey there. You are looking mighty fine today, have my virtual cookie!

I think that online will replace board games. To some extent, it already has. People are expected to be playing online games, and years ago, the games people were expected to be playing were board games. The standard has changed. Soon, I bet all the big games companies will have to go into online games. Lots of games like scrabble and monopoly have already been digitized.

Ryzen 5 1500x, Noctua NH-L9x65 SE-AM4, GA-AB350N, 16GB 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 970, 250GB Samsung 960 Evo, 120GB Samsung 840 Evo, 1TB WD Green & 2TB Seagate Barracuda. 650w OCZ ZX & Cooler Master Elite 130. Acer CB241HQK 4K, LG IPS234V-PN 1080p, Ducky Zero Shine All Blue/Anne Pro Brown/SteelSeries Apex Pro & Razer Naga 2014
