Bad CPU score in passmark

Go to solution Solved by unclewebb,

@Tech-man

The PL1 power limit is set to the default 65W value. That reduces maximum performance. Increase PL1 in the BIOS if possible. I use ThrottleStop to change the power limits if the BIOS does not have this setting available.

Should I worry

You should be worried sick about this.

Most users with these CPUs get a lot better performance when they increase the turbo power limits. Use HWiNFO to see what your turbo power limits are set to. When these power limits are set to default values in the BIOS, you will get reduced full load CPU performance and poor benchmark scores. I set both power limits to 300W so I do not have to worry about any power limit throttling.

If you cannot find the power limit settings in the BIOS, you can use ThrottleStop to access these settings. Open the TPL window and post a screenshot if you need help.

i don't even know my cb/score, cpu is a thing that just kinda works.... i don't even bother with pbo anymore,  avg 60c no throttling all i need to know 😉

Thnx I,ll do it

Again thank u.

In game I have really smooth and satisfying performance.idk why these programs stress me .

Everything is ok in practice.

Superposition and pass mark app scored my build as average and good.

But cine bench and user benchmark scored it bad.

But I'm satisfied really from my build,s performance.

I resoloute that you are right.

I agree,we should use our pc for satisfying needs .

As long as it's temperature and performance is good ,these programs are s.h.i.t.

60-65 degrees is ok for cpu

yeah these programs are basically designed for ultimate heat, which is good for a stress test, but outside of that its not meaningful,  gaming/compute/etc performance is where it counts!

Topic Update:

I solved my problem in some extent

Solution: I changed my ram stick so I have dual channel instead of single channel and I turned off mce.

Now noticeably my PC has better scores in benchmarking apps

Before making changes

After making changes
