Hi all,

Last week i took my computer to a computer store to get it fixed after i ocorred the following problems: File system error, then i tried to reset windows to no sucess, then i went and tried reinstall windows from a pendrive to no sucess because of bluescreens with the following errors: Memory management/ Nopaged Area/ Bad_Pool_Caller/ 0xC000021A

The shop said the following : "The cpu has traces of thermal paste on the contacts and that the motherboard has crooked pins. We recommend the purchase of a new CPU and a new motherboard". The two photos that they sent are attached.

What i find weird about this is that the PC has worked for 1 year without major problems and having the problems above explained should have killed the pc right away correct? I don't want to doubt them but I find it very strange that a PC with such an serious error runs so long without problems. BTW: I didnt built the computer neither did the shop, and i didnt remove the CPU to check how it was before i handed them the PC.

Would like to hear some clarification on the topic. Thank you in advance 🙂

I have smeared the CPU in thermal paste and it still worked. As far as bent pins I only see one weird looking pin and I cant even confirm it.

It's doubly stupid because unless the pins are actively missing, it's also surprisingly easy to fix. Especially for a repair shop

Probably not your issue, though not to say it isn't related to cpu/mobo

I sell teeth and teeth accessories 🦷
