They should work fine, only really worth it if they are DIRT cheap and not being used for sensitive data

 

Personally drives are so cheap I would just buy new

What are the drives? and how much are they?

I took the risk once to score a drive on the cheap and it was pure regret. Save the extra 20 or so dollars to get a drive that actually works.

i wouldn't, i my sister has a refurbished HDD, it said "speed problems fixed", not a month later it once again takes 20 minutes for her to launch her games.

before that it worked fine, but unless it's dirt cheap, i mean dirt! i wouldn't go for it, a brand new one isn't that expensive, compared to an SSD anyway

They *should* be fine, but I don't trust them. I wouldn't use them at all (but I'm a bit of over-cautious when it comes to my data, maybe)

If you can get them for 5-10$ then they are good ~ but don't save anything critical on this HDD.
