Upgrade pre built PC.. to a 4090? Need Help

Return BOTH of those things. You literally need a new pc here. Nothing worth leeping

For the price of those 2 parts you can have an entire gaming pc that can run everything she has with ease and isn't uncoolable for the cpu and doesn't have a flawed power plug that melts on the gpu

Legit all she needs to play the games well is a gpu upgrade and that is easily done.

Hello everyone, I am in dire need!
My Girlfriend decided to upgrade her PC

Today she has:
CPU: I5  11400F
GPU: GTX 1660 Super
RAM: 16GB HyperX Fury
PSU: 500 Watt BeQuite Netzteil
Motherboard: Asrock B460 Steel Legend
CPU Cooler: Enermax 240 WaKü

So the problem I have is that she already orderd:
GPU: RTX4090 OG OC
CPU: I9-13900KF 5.8 GHZ

So a CPU that don't fit in the socket of the Motherboard and a GPU that eat more watts then she has in the PSU.

Help me guys and gals! so I can help my GF.

(My first thout was to sell the old PC, and buy all new. (also think the 4090 might be overkill, but idk))

Budget (including currency): Euro €, Mid-range budget it just need to be fixed.

Country: Germany

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details: Ment for gaming at resolution: 3440x1440 and refresh rate: 100Hz
Game: Hunt: Showdown, Elden Ring, Diablo 4, PoE, Borderlands 3.

Best Regards
Hadokken

It's germany. Depending on what store you bought from it's literally as simple as saying it was not what we expected and send it back.

Source? I was always able to send stuff back without an issue, you have two weeks to step down from non-custom orders here in Germany (if you buy from a business that is, good luck if you buy things from a private party lol).

I will find your Laptop thread and I will recommend an ITX build instead

I live in switzerland. I don't really know about germany.

I'm not even sure about Switzerland 🙂.

I just checked, here sellers must not take back sold stuff. Sold is sold unless staten otherwise.

I'm not sure how many sellers take back stuff without good reason. I know some do and I think I know some don't.

I know that retailers can make a fuss here as well if the product has been opened, but anything that is unopened is fair game to return AFAIK. Some stores will only give you gift cards for their stores in return (I have had that happen at IKEA when I went to switch a part for the same one in a different colourway) but they are generally pretty lenient.
