I recently switched from windows 7 to windows 8, 64-bit, and when I go to task manager it says "32-bit" beside everything...

I only noticed this when my CS:GO kept crashing, and was wondering if it was due to this, or perhaps is was the new update to the game today...Just wanted to clarify why everything says 32-bit, when I'm running a 64-bit copy of Windows 8

The application bits are different from the windows bits

It makes no difference, because windows 64 bit can do both 64 and 32 bit programs

there is some improvement if you can get 64 bit programs, but some stuff only comes in 32

I guess I just never noticed this before, when I was running Windows 7, just wanted to make sure this wasn't the reason why my game kept crashing.. Thanks :)

Yeah they are 32 bit apps. You are running 64 bit windows.

I concur.
