Ok, so, I am going to build a gaming PC with my main games being a heavily modded Skyrim, and a HEAVILY modded Minecraft (i'm addicted).

But my main problem is my desk only has 500mm of depth from the wall and I am having an IMPOSSIBLE time of finding a case that would fit, and be easy to build in.

The computer is going to be Micro ATX, with 16GB Corsair Vengance RAM (2x 8GB cards), The ASUS GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II, as well as a 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD, and a 1TB hard drive. The power supply is variable, and is really whatever works. I hope to be using an Intel Core I5 4670, but I havent confirmed that. The motherboard will likely be Asus's Maximus VI Gene.

For my future upgrades, I hope to possibly get a better graphics card, mabye the Asus Mars 760 2-way or something more current.

My budget is ~$1500 USD.

I am cool if the build gets moved to an ITX motherboard, i just need something that will fit in my room.

So, any thoughts? (I would also accept help in choosing a CPU)

Oh, this is also my first BUILD, but I have scrapped computers for a while.

Cheap ITX Z87 board... GA- Z87I- WIFI 130

4670k would be ideal, you're going to want something with great IPC and to overclock for Minecraft. 230

2x4GB any speed ddr3....75-80 bucks

Video card is up to you, i'd totally suggest at least a 3-4GB card for Extreme render distance....TBD

I'd say smaller SSD and bigger HDD, that's just me though.. like a 120GB ssd + 3TB HDD. 120GB is more than enough room for OS+apps+a game. 160

80+ Bronze 500W PSU with AT LEAST TWO 6+2pin PCI-E connectors... 50 bucks

Totals.. 650 dollars

Now you just need to pick an ITX case and your GPU with your 850 bucks left over. I've been looking at a Coolermaster 130 case for a semi portable rig, it'll fit a 120mm AIO cooler.

Let's see... a CM 130 is like 50 bucks, a water cooler is about the same, so $100. Graphics card is up to you dude.

Totals... $750 without GPU. I say it's good because you want to spend as much on your gpu as everything else. What do you think?

Bro.... You're amazing, but shouldn't there be more RAM? MC kinda uses RAM over GPU from what i've seen.

16GB of ram is really useful for work. I promise you wont need more than 8GB for gaming until far into the future.

When i played Minecraft, I modded it until it could barely run. Almost always would be my 2GB Vram running out lol.

Good call though, maybe pick up a 1x8GB stick rather than a 2x4GB kit to make upgrading easier. that mobo i suggested only has two DIMM slots.

Yeah I could also see the 770 working nicely but yeah the 280x was more or less just to put in 2 amd vs 2 nvidia xD
