I have 3440×1440 144hz monitor, have not played anything for a long time, I want to try many games, not multiplayers, most likely campaigns like crysis, COD and etc. 4090 looks very expensive, I want to spend about 900$-1000$ or less

If you want a solid ray tracing experience on 1440p UW in that price range, then it gets a little complicated. RX 7900 XTX is the best card overall at that price, but its not the best ray tracing experience (although still good).

Team green still holds ray tracing performance, but the only options around that price are the RTX 4070ti and RTX 4080. RTX 4080 being a fair bit more at $1200, but will provide that 1440p UW ray tracing experience. RTX 4070ti being a bit too much of a compromise with how low quality the silicon is for $800.

RX 7900 XTX seems to be the answer here. RX 7900 XT is slightly less, but you do lose a decent amount, especially if you're wanting ray tracing performance at 1440p UW.

ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XTX Video Card RX7900XTX PG 24GO - Newegg.com

$960.

GIGABYTE EAGLE OC GeForce RTX 4080 Video Card GV-N4080EAGLE OC-16GD - Newegg.com

$1150 is still too much for an RTX 4080 in my opinion, its at most a $1k card.

Country: Georgia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Programming (BE, FE, Mobile, Devops)

CPU - Intel i5-13600KF
Motherboard - Z790 Pro RS WiFi
Storage - Western Digital SN770 1TB
RAM - Corsair Vengeance DDR5 64GB (2x32)  6000 MHz
Cooler - Arctic Freezer 50
PSU - NZXT C850 Gold
CASE - DLX21
GPU - RX 5500 XT

I built a new pc, temporarily installed 5500 XT, What GPU should be reasonable for this system? I'm going to upgrade after several weeks

What games do you play and at what resolution? How much are you willing to spend?

A 13600k could reasonably support even an RTX 4090, so it really depends on the above.

A general recommendation would just be an RX 6700 XT, since its the prime value at the moment. If you're willing to spend more than $300-$350 for that card, then there's more nuance to it.

Thank you, there is no  latest amd cards available in my country as I see, so I will choose between 4080 and 4070, based on budget

Those regional constraints are rough. I'd lean a little harder into the possibility of an RTX 4080 then since 1440p UW can be heavy on the VRAM. It'll come closer to maxing a 12GB VRAM buffer like on the 4070/4070ti.

Its also worth considering a 2nd hand RTX 3090 in that case, which can be found quite cheap, though I'm not one to buy used hardware personally.

RX 6950 XT is also an option at the bottom, if you're looking lower at like the RTX 4070. Those cards compete quite directly in performance.
