Tech Forums You Frequent

To keep it simple, as the topic says, I'm curious about this. Looking for other Tech forums I could visit and be a frequent member of!

 

So...

Except of course LinusTechTips - What are some other forums you guys are a member of? What are your favorite ones? Any that you visit as much, or more than, LTT?

I'm sure other members could benefit from other great communities they could join! Because lets face it, nobody is leaving LTT anyways.

LTT is all I do. Most tech forums are full of kids who just repeat useless information over and over or just has super argumentative people. We have some of those people too but to a much lesser extent I find.

OCN- random guy, been there since '11

Tom's Shitware ranked up to Expert and was there 2 years since '11 i think, i got banned in early '13

 

Been around here there and everywhere, i learnt to only take in knowledge, and i try my best to ignore arseholes, but i struggle.

OCN? Is that OverClockers? If so, it's actually one I was thinking about a while ago, and forgot all about!

And wow, I don't know how I didn't think about Tom's.. But I'm not sure. I'll give it a spin.

Nice place, strict rules, but once you get the gist, you will fit right in so long as you bring a good amount of knowledge to the table.

LTT is somewhere i can basically be myself, obviously only to a certain limit, and i have pushed that a few times...

 

I like it here, seems like family even though i do not know everyone.

Before I got into LTT more, I was on OCN quite a bit. But this community is a lot nicer and more helpful. Hell, I've been a member of OCN longer than I have on here, and I only have 140-something posts.

I was on Tom's for a while, but this is the only forum that I visit at this point in time. And for the foreseeable future

A lot of the other tech forums look far uglier than LTT. Honestly I don't understand how people put up with the hard-to-manage UI's of other forums. I've only used forums on Enjin and IPBoard, vBulletin is alright sometimes, but if it uses just about anything else, I find it to be very ugly.

^^^ Anandtech is one of the ugliest. Some forums I just can't enjoy being on because they're horrible to look at and navigate.

Yes! I completely agree with both of those. I cannot stand ugly forums. I just don't 'fee' right when I'm there. It makes me uncomfortable, therefore, why would I stay? That's the main problem with other forums.

The other thing I hate are forums without "Search for New Content".. Especially ridiculously long ones, where it takes me 28 minutes just to get from top to bottom, such as OCN. Way too big! They really need to categorize better, like LTT.

I'm a new member here, but I've liked Anandtech, even though the forum is ugly. There are some knowledgable people there too.

 

Hope to frequent LTT more than AAT though, it looks cleaner and people here seem genuinely better.
