Budget (including currency): $2300ish

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Some shooters, rpgs, possibly mmos, internet, office apps, no video editing/rendering

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This will be the 3rd pc I've built and it's been a few years. Looking to get 4-5 years out of this build. I've already got monitor, mouse, keyboard. Current pc is quite old. i5-6500 @3.20GHz, 16GB RAM, GeForce GTX 1070. Basically does this have any glaring faults and any helpful advice is much appreciated.

Just a few changes: o/s, faster AMD Expo RAM, 850W psu (min for that gpu), a conventional case with much better airflow, cpu cooler that won't be impacted by a board with large heatsinks and a SATA SSD so that you aren't sucking up the PCIe lanes with two M.2 SSD's.

Once the 6000C30 and 5600C28 version goes back in stock, id replace it with that. And also other board OP can consider:

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/ckhFf7/asrock-b650-livemixer-atx-am5-motherboard-b650-livemixer 170 USD (best connectivity per dollar out of all B650 boards, but super ugly)

Changed it around a bit to eek out a bit more performance. The main difference - memory is now 6000MHz CL30 one with EXPO, which is the best memory for 7800X3D. Change the 7900XTX to the best one there is - the Nitro+ and updated the PSU to 1000W. 850W is the absolute minimum you shouldn't go under. Also removed the ridiculously expensive Windows - just get a normal $12-$15 one from any retailer site like kinguin or cdkeys. $100+ is absurd.
