Hi guys! I'm really close to buying this awesome laptop. Now. I have experience with a 13 inch Mac (it's what I am using now to write this), but I am worried 14 inches won't be big enough.... My main intention is to do gaming as I can't take my desktop computer with me everywhere. Will this be big enough for that experience? Because I would really not want to spend the extra money on the 17 inch screen if I don't need it.

Thanks!

Keep posting guys!

I agree with the rest, stay away from alienware!

There's always 15 inch laptops, if you want. Some of the 17 inch laptops can get close to 10 pounds in weight, so it's not for everybody.

I own an Alienware m14x r2, and it's not terrible. Still, I think my biggest problem with it is that the cooling system is kinda noisy as hell, and even then, it gets a little warm to the touch. Personally, I'm looking at one of the 17" Asus ROG g750 laptops when I get a new one.

Alienware isn't as bad as the people are saying it is.

Yes, you can get better and cheaper stuff somewhere else, but you are paying for aesthetics if you purchase from Alienware.

I used to own an M14X before the current revision and I never had any problems with it because I actually take care of what I buy.

So take the Alienware hate and the alternatives as suggestions. Buy what you want.

Nobody here is saying that an alienware is bad..

Were saying that its a rip off and you can get better for that kind of money.

I think one could argue that "rip you off for crappy components" is equivalent to calling bad. Regardless, my calling it "not terrible" wasn't directed at anybody, it was me giving my honest assessment of it. *shrug*

You just contradicted yourself. What you just said literally suggests that Alienware is bad.

Its like what apple does.. A pretty box with not so powerful stuff inside..

Its not crap.. Its just not the best you can get either.. Get it.??

anything is all good.

just grab what you think looks pretty. specially if you're taking it with you outside. pretty much looks pwn everything else for normal people.

but of course if you picked one with looks + awesome performance = go buy it. imo the msi or asus one above is pretty good.

Live your life like a dream.
