Nvidia GeForce RTX3070 having flares-like render error on all games

GPU is RTX3070

Have tried with DDU for clean installation and up-to-date drivers

Have warranty claimed a brand-new GPU

Have reformatted PC 

Have changes new RAM

 

Issues,

Seeing lens flares, unusual lightining when playing the following games (have attached images)

- DBD

- Genshin

- COD will straight crashing

 

Cause,

Was playing COD MWII half way and the game crashes; At first, there's weird ray of light when inspecting weapons then it crashed again; upon reopening, COD will always displayed DirectX error (triggered whenever the game start loading scenes, 3D resources related)

Glitches and artifacting are generally as sign of bad Vram or Vram errors at the very least.

 

What are your temps like (GPU Core, HotSpot and VRAM)

 

Its not really a solution but maybe try underclocking the GPU core and or Vram using MSI Afterburner to see if that makes anything better.

 

If it does fix it then you at least know where the problem lies. Unfortunately, there's no real way to fix it unless your happy with a gimped GPU but these issues usually get worse over time.

Mobo: ASUS TUF B550M PLUS GAMING WIFI (MATX)

Looks typically like VRAM issue, RMA the card

Could be VRAM or your DRAM is throwing errors as well. 

Test your DRAM for stability (Memtest for example). And try to manually underclock your VRAM.

Question here. This is happening on my newly claimed GPU (previously is having a same issue so I submitted a warranty claimed) and I just received today. I'm kind of lost when rediscovering this issue with the new GPU.

If this is the 2nd card you've tried and its still glitching then it might be a problem elsewhere.

 

Does your Mobo have a 2nd PCIe slot you can try?

 

Can you try the card in another PC, maybe a freind's computer or a spare if you have one.

I've RMA the GPU (because of the similar issue), this is rediscovered with the newly claimed GPU

you already tried most of suspects this really wierd i will try to shoot in the dark here

 

first i would try to roll out any file corruption

- Make Sure that windows installision media is valid using the sha hash check  that you didn't use any corrupted media on youre install

- Donwload the latest Drivers from nvidia and check the hases if avilable

- make sure the the SSD or HDD is in good status Check The S.M.A.R.T data make sure that SSD has enoughe life in it and the reserve blocks hasn't been used

 

Roll out the ram i know that you changed it but this behiver mostly related to RAM

- try using the memtest tool to test the integrity of the ram

- close any overclking profile XMP or Exepo in your case i think it's XMP

 

Try Resieting the bios and run the most safe setting or load fail safe settings

 

if this couldn't help you may be try another card to roll out the GPU  all together because somtimes GPU companies send another RMA stuff to another Custmers Jeytwocent talked about it in asus video so it worth a shoot

 

or as pople said another coputer to roll out one of thies compnent

 

i know i gave you extinsive steps that may be not help you but you already tried a lot of things

 

i hope you could sove it

Yeh, starting to think this as well now.

 

If you can, do try and swap the GPU out for something else or try your 3070 in another PC to see if you can replicate the problem.

well, we don't know this, but it could be they just sent you the same gpu without fixing anything (did you compare the serial numbers?)

Or its like someone already said your RAM, that could be motherboard related *or* RAM

 

 

so run memtest64 *and* also set your vram speed lower than stock and see if that fixes anything

doesn't mean it can't be the RAM though (QVL?) or the RAM slots, maybe defect mobo... 

 

without further testing/ troubleshooting/ info impossible to say.

 

 

ps: yeah if it really happens with a brand new gpu too then its likely mobo/ram or even psu, i mean a pc doesn't have *that* many parts thankfully.

I've tried switching the D.O.C.P profile to Auto profile (2133mhz for RAM now);

Reformatted my whole PC and upgrade to Windows 11;

And try to underclock the GPU;

 

But the issue still persist (random black line is observed when previewing the Nvidia Control Panel 3D spinning logo);

 

However, when I tried to record now, the abnormal artifacts lightning aren't showing.. until I close the recording tool (with Microsoft Xbox recording and OBS)

(But it still having black, glitching effect showing here and there)
