EK Plastic Disintegrating?

Just found out last night that this is what my EK waterblock looks like right now. And yes, I used some sillicon gel to glue it back together and fill the holes, then put it in the oven for 'medium rare' and it kinda holds for now. ofc rather quick loss of water has not completely stopped, I still have a computer that I need to refuel like it was a car 🤣.

 

Anyway, has anyone encountered anything like this? I wonder what EK would have to say about their plastic falling apart like this. I'm not running acid in my loop, am I?

do you have any temperature sensors for the fluid in your waterloop ?

if you are exceeding safe temps then plastics tubes and seals can deteriorate leading to issues as you describe.

but i am not about to start downloading apps  I dont want just to view what you have posted.

Also you do not mention what type of fluid your are using ? if it is a DIY one or a recommended one from EK themselves ?

Also have you mixed components copper with aluminium ?

just not much info out side of that plastc is disintegrating which is vague.
