First time building a beginner server.

As the title suggests, It my first time and I need some recommendations on what hardware to use.

My usage consists of Jellyfin, Docker, Home Assistant, Homer and Node Red.

I want it to be as low power as possible because I don't know if I would be playing with Docker often.

I went with Intel because of Intel Quick Sync I wouldn't need a dedicate gpu to encode the video.

Any advice would be really helpful. I am trying to put all of my pc and network equipment in the basement. And pull a thunderbolt cord upstairs for monitor, mouse, keyboard and mic.

Budget it around 800USD.

A server for this can be extremely low power. Whatever the lowest level intel chip with quick sync would be plenty powerful.

Looking at the updated link.

Id skip the cpu cooler and use the stock cooler. Its a low power cpu, and won't run very hot here.

Id skip the other noctua fans too. The system doesn't make much heat, and will be near silent if you spin the included fans slowly.

Id replace the barracuda compute hdd. Its smr and gonna be real slow in write operations like raid rebuilds.

Id get a different psu with a read fan, as that top fan won't be able to move any air in a 2u case.

Cpu cooler and noctua fans make sense.

I totally forgot about the hdd where there was a cmr and smr. Thank you

Out of curiosity could It be possible to buy used 2.5 ssd or cmr hdd from ebay. If not I would just buy the Seagate Ironwolf 4tb.

I couldn't find rear fan psu should I get a bigger case then?

How? You have a system that doesn't make much heat, I don't see a resason to spend 10% of your budget on cooling, when there is cooling included with the case and cpu that will be more than plenty and quiet.

up, ebay has lots of drives. There are no 4tb cmr hdds I know of, but you can get 4tb 2.5in ssds.

Bigger case is best if you have the rack space, otherwise you can probably get aawy with. sfx psu and an adpter.

Sorry I meant I understand you on why I should use the stock cooler.

Okay, Thank for tips.
