Ryzen 2700X or Ryzen 3600

Hello,

I have only built a few PCs and I need to sell or give to relative one of my older rigs and move on. Just not sure which to keep. I was going to put all my better parts into one rig and get rid of the other. So....

Should I keep my Ryzen 2700X or the newer Ryzen 3600?

I only game and do regular day to day stuff on my PC.

3600 has way better IPC and pcie4 support while the 2700x offers 2 more cores. For gaming and regular use i would keep the 3600.

Agree with this statement.
But the differences are only 2%-8% max.

But thats only if no overclocking is done. The 2700x could be faster if it OC's well.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Thanks from the reading I had done I was thinking that was the case. I didn't think my gaming is really utilizing the extra cores in my older / higher end 2700x.
