UEFI Firmware Settings missing.

Go to solution Solved by Volbet,

Hi again Volbet! Yea i keep trying and it just takes me to Windows.

Hi again.

I think i have found I a solution. The Asus Fast Boot feature is probably turned on, so it doesn't ´boot´ the BIOS as it normally would.

Download AI Suite form the Asus Website and in that program, there should be something called "Asus Boot Settings" and there you just check ´Direct BIOS´

Edit: Found a link to the program itself: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/ASUS_Boot_Setting_V10010.zip

Perhaps if its easier..Could i just uninstall windows?

That wouldn't really be a practical solution, and I would reserve that as a last resort

Hello all..

I just recently installed windows 8.1 onto a brand new pc build..However I am trying to get back into the uefi bios to make some tweaks but everytime i go to my settings where the "Uefi Firmware Settings" should be....it is simply missing.

Any ideas?

Maybe fastboot is enabled...

Try with an PS/2 keyboard or clear CMOS

Lol what does that mean?

PS/2 are the green and violet connectors used on old keyboard and mice.

CMOS is where you're BIOS settings are stored, clearing it will reset all settings to default.

How to clear your CMOS depends on your motherboard. Try to look it up in your motherboards manual.

Ok thanks will try that out...I wouldn't mind uninstalling since I have done nothing on the computer yet.
