Paid Firmware updates coming from Sony

To be clear, this is not a specific attack against Sony, if they’re doing it then every other company is just around the corner.  

Really sucks, you’re dropping a couple grand on a camera body then you can’t get new features without dropping 300-400 dollars to unlock the new feature in software, really hurts the secondary market(which actually matters to camera companies more than others because lens sales are a thing) Ugh, this sucks.

my a6000 has paid features, a 10 year old body. it's nothing new, just a different way to look at it.
