Shipping to LTX/Vancouver

I'm moving from Ireland to Vancouver the same week as LTX (trying to save on flights!). Does anyone know of a good way to ship a couple of boxes from where I live to Vancouver that isn't a price gouge? I know that there are ways to ship via Air/Sea but I don't know how that works with pick-up/delivery and customs, Has anyone done something similar before? Also what is the best way to ship my PC and keep it protected?
