What PC Games Did You Play as a Child?

There were no video games when I was a child.

We were forced to go outside and run and play and ride our bikes with friends.

Don't think I missed much.

PC specifically? 

Well, Lego games, and tonka, and similar. 

After that, I got into world of Warcraft, dawn of war, command and conquer, impossible creatures. 

 

Counter strike and Garry's mod were also great. 

 

After this I start getting into tween & teenager years.

DOS era: Prince of Persia, Abrams Battle Tank, MS Flight Sim, a jet fighter game LTT had in a video not very long ago, patience, Stunts (anyone remember this one? :D).

Win95/98/XP: Chuck Yaeger's Air Combat, Populous, Red Alert, Doom, Duke Nukem, No One Lives Forever, Deus Ex, Half-Life, HL:CS, HL:Day of Defeat, HL:Firearms, Red Alert 2, Soldier of Fortune, AoE II, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (the very first one), Worms (various), Crimson Skies, Tribes 2, Diablo 2

As a child, I had a Commodore 16 (yeah I know, it couldn't hold a candle to the C64... ) and I remember enjoying some clones of games like "1942" and "Kung-Fu Master", as well as a very nice pseudo-3D platform called "Trailblazer".

Then, some time around 1994 I believe, when I was already 17 years old, my father took home an old 286 laptop and I dove in the MS-DOS rabbit hole... First "game" I played to death was QBasic Nibbles, go figure!
Then there was "Indianapolis 500" and "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade".
In 1997 I got my first Pentium desktop along with the mighty "Fifa 96" and "Fifa 97", both played for hours and hours.

One day in a computer store I saw a dark, violent 3D game and I though "nah, it's too violent for me"... but still, some time later I bought a shareware copy of that game and... I discovered DooM! Hoy smokes, that was really something! I haven't been the same after that
