There are a lot of users coming into LTT and PCPartPicker complaining about 90-100°C temps on good coolers. Most of us know that Aida is a better test for Haswell, can we add this to some sort of pinned thread to stop the confusion? Somewhere everyone can easily see?

Every time this question gets answered, another user comes in a day later complaining about the same problem on a different cooler...

Prime95 isn't recommended for Haswell. Use Aida or Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.

AIDA without FPU

prime 95 blend test  is fine.

prime 95 is known to overvolt haswell chips if the vcore mode is set to adaptive. this in turns causes super high temps

prime 95 blend test works fine on haswell if your vcore mode is set to manual.

there is nothing wrong with using prime 95 blend test with haswell IF your running a manual vcore mode.

prime is still a good stability test, even for haswell.

Aida64 also overvolts the CPU on adaptive mode. it does the same thing as prime. so if you suggest Aida 64 you must also  require to only test with manual vcore mode.

Xtu is good because it does not overvolt, however it is not a crazy tough test.this is its shortfall

Can we get this stuff pinned?

FPU stress (only this selected in AIDA64) should give you even higher temps than prime. I'm not sure for Haswell though.
