PC suddenly won't start anymore

My friends PC won't start anymore all of a sudden. it is just stick in the "Asus" screen with the windows loading symbol at the bottom, he can access his bios but can't get into windows anymore.

 

any ideas what he problem might be and how to fix it?

Most likely a software issue. Let them try to enter safe mode. (google will have a step-by-step, probably with pictures). Maybe try inserting a windows installer, to see if it can repair windows. Worse-case-scenario, the OS disk is failing. Second-worse-case-scenario: gotta do a fresh install.
