Power Supply surge detected?

So I was playing CS:GO and then my computer shut down and turned on again with a flickering screen saying "Power supply Surge detected". After this I turned it off, unplugged the PSU and then I noticed a bad smell in my room. The PSU is connected to a surge protector. What should I do?

Try a different power supply and then try a different power supply without the surge protector and see if the smell comes back.

I only have 1 power supply.

Happened to my of rig.... But no surge, it smelled really bad like a burning smell, got a new psu, fixed everything

I Love Playing CS:GO!
