What kind of HDMI Cable ?

Heya guys,

I need to run a male to female hdmi cable to a location around 15 meters from the TV , will any HDMI cable do, or do I need some sort of special cable / special apparatus in addition to the cable ?

15 meters is around 49 feet, and according to this here google search,

theres a problem with that. resolution plays a HUGE part

1080p up to 50' copper depending on cable quality

2k htz? can also use up to 50' copper depending on quality

4k? 4k 60htz i believe is 10' copper after that you need optical or other means of boosting the signal

4k 120htz is 6' certified copper after that optical. theres been a couple copper hdmi that have done 10'

Well, currently the one asking me for help uses 2k at most, but if it's feasible and not too expensive I may as well give him the option to future proof it in case he wants to go 4k.

 

I dunno what to get to achieve it though.

well if you want to go hdmi 2.1 just make sure its certified hdmi 2.1 optical. and these can get pretty pricey. but have been coming down in price since release

but if you look around you can find decent priced ones. but prices are because its still new and optical and length
