Looking for some specific mobo recommendations.

Loading17

I have a 6800 XT and a 7800X3D. I'm looking for the rest. I'm looking for a mobo with PCI gen 5 ssd support. Looking for a 'value' choice, kinda the best bang for the buck, none of the current sales I can find seem great.

Also looking for the best bang for the buck memory (looking for 64 gig, but decently quick ish) psu, ssd and case. Thanks for any recommendations you may have.

That seems excessively expensive for a motherboard.

cheapest gen 5 mobo i could find (it costs) it doesn't really have a huge performance uplift tho https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/7CLdBj

We have no idea how much of a performance gain it will be until directstorage becomes more mainstream. It may prove to be a huge game changer, may prove to be nada. Shouldn't judge it till more benchmarks are out and more game developers have fooled with it.

How do you know--based on the ONE game that supports it so far, It's more then a little premature to judge it. If you have something concrete to back it up, I'm all ears, I'd be down for saving the money, but until someone can show me something concrete I'd rather have that option down the road.

Yeah, you really didn't. You literally said "even with direct storage the difference wont be that much. dont spend money now becasue it "could" help you in the future"

It would be a rather larger waste of money if I had to buy a different motherboard for pci gen 5 ssd support if directstorage does prove to be game changing.

Again, if you have something concrete I'm all ears.
