how to get better thermals on a 2020 m1 macbook air

my fingers get roasted when i run somthing lik krunker or blender or even big google docs help

is it possible to enter the bios on those things? If you can then it would be possible to underclock to lower the wattage but still get the same core clocks

The M1 MacBook Air does not have a fan. As such there is nothing you can really do to improve the thermal performance other than be in a cooler room.

Was going to suggest clean the fan intake. But I believe this model doesn't even have a fan.

The Air is not for "productivity", unless you enjoy getting burned.

tbh its my moms bc my laptop battery died and now im saving for a pc build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4YcJJM so ig il just use a rotating fan to blow on it lol

get an nhd 15, put it on the m1 chip and your off to the races!

 

No but seriously i don't think there's a conventional way of doing this but you can watch linus's vid on it and put some better and higher quality thermal pads on it

advice for your pc build btw (you might want to make a new thread tho) is that you can get a name brand case like the fractal pop air for the money and the fans included in that antec case won't be astonishing. Also i would go amd and get a 7600 non x on a b650 aorus board. Then you can get a themalright peerless assassin 120 se and save some money

13600k performs better according to cpubenchmark.net. also i like the noctua cooler regardless of the price.
