Need Advice with Budget Audio Interface

Go to solution Solved by Heats with Nvidia,

I personally don`t really like Behringer because they are pretty much anti-repair and many times used too cheap potentiometers etc... so some of their products tend to break faster. But sometimes they have quite usable products and i can`t argue with the price.

Your headphones have a 32Ohms impedance, but i don`t know their sensitivity and the output power of the Behringer is quite low.

I, for example have a Audient EVO4 here and it`s loud enough for most headphones, but absolutely not all of them and the output power of the Behringer is quite a lot lower than that of the EVO4.

In short: You either try it and send it back, when its not loud enough, or you try to get a better interface on the used market.

For example around here the substantially better Audient ID4 on the used marked occasionally sells for a similar price as a new Behringer.

I'm interested in experimenting further with my audio setup.

I'm particular about getting an interface that allows me to control most audio aspects without opening audio settings.

I'm looking for some Budget Options mostly or gaming, content consumption and lite content creation.

This Behringer USB audio interface is what started me on this journey so do let me know if it's any good or if you have any experience with the Behringer brand.
As far as I can tell, they seem to make somewhat decent knockoffs of Beyerdynamic's stuff and others.

My Region is Malaysia

Headphone: Samson SR850s

Microphone: BM800 (apparently a knockoff of the Neewer NW-800, having watched a few youtube vids it apparently works well if given some power)

My main perquisites is that it has to have:

1. Headphone Amp (or whatever the thing that drives more power to the headphones that makes it sound fuller/richer/louder)

2. Mic Amp (i have a shitty XLR mic that apparently works well if supplied with some power)
3. Some kind of Volume Control (i like dedicated hardware controls)

Spoiler

Optional: dedicated media controls

PC: Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB 3200mhz RAM (8GBx2), Gigabyte B550M DS3H, GTX 1050 2GB, 650W Semi-Modular PSU80+ Gold

Phone: Poco F3 8GB + 256GB

Audio: Samson SR850s

Sound Card: SoundBlaster Play 4 USB sound card

IEM: planning to get the KBEAR KS2s
Please be patient with me, I'm fatally dumb and its honestly a miracle I've made it this far

This Behringer is what both I and one of my buddies use. It works exactly as advertised, though there is not anything special about it. It is a great choice for XLR mics if you dont want to spend a lot of money.

Does it have a Headphone amp to drive more power to?

If so it's an insta buy for me, it's well within my budget and has all the features I'm looking for.

Righto, I will try the Behringer and see whether i like it before i buy then.
The Audient is kind of outta my budget, both new and 2nd hand, still goes for RM400($100USD) used.

is there any more budget oriented options?

If i remember correctly, Dmitri from Hardware Canucks had extensive review on dacs/amps maybe i will check those out as well

Wow, thats a quite high price for them. the EVO4 is too new to be sold for a low price, but the ID4 is older and because of that occasionally cheaper.

I can reccommend this video: Interface comparision Especially the Headphone output chart at minute 14 is important for you, when it comes to the output volume of the interface.
