Hi, just a quick checkup for my HDD's. I threw together a new server and the HDD's seem to be running a bit cool. Some sources online say that running them too cool wont allow the lubricant to work properly, but I also dont want them to get too hot. So is this ok or should I turn down the fan a bit as right now I have it running at 1600rpm (its a ml120 pro).

Ignore the cache drives as they're purposefully cooled.

Lubricant won't thicken or change viscosity in a detrimental way until well below your current temps (below freezing is when I'd worry) . You're fine.

Did they say what is too cool?  You're at room temp with those, so that's totally fine.  They may be talking about refrigerated server rooms or immersion cooled servers that

But no, room temp is not too cool for drives.
