7900XT screen flicker

i recently upgraded from a 5700xt to a 7900xt. same monitor being used on both cards. the 5700xt worked fine at 1440p 144hz no screen flickering or anything. the 7900xt has does a very fast whole screen goes white flicker for a couple miliseconds. its VERY noticeable and very annoying but it only happens at 144hz. when turning down refresh rate to 120 it stops. i just wanna play at 144hz :(

27gl83a-b is the monitor, a vesa certified ivanky 1.4 DP cable and im running the XFX MERC 310 7900XT. i do have another DP cable on the way, ive tried 2 so far. one was a 1.2 cable and current is the 1.4 both had the same issues. the new dable i have coming is a more highly rated one by kabledirekt so hopefully that will resolve it otherwise could maybe be a GPU issue and ill have to RMA it i think?

i have latest drivers and chipsets. now this MPO situation i havent tried. i just disabled it using an old nvidia link lol gonna test it a bit now.

update on this. ive gotten my third DP cable and flickers still not resolved or gotten better. RMAing the card unfortunately

Hate to necro this, but did RMA'ing the card ever help? Did the replacement not flicker? I have the exact issue.
