ok i need to update my bios and on the asus website it says i need to name the file R4G and in the user guide i need to name  it R6G so what is it?

Uhm, download the .ROM file you need for your board and name it R4G and see if that works, if it doesn't try R6G, and if that doesn't work do the same thing but with the .ROM converted to a .CAP file?

hmm i downloaded the cap file i will try that tomorrow good night thxs for the help

What do you need to update for? Unless something isn't working it's best to leave it alone really.

What asus mobo model are you using?

Follow the readme file that came with the BIOS download.

You will need a thumb drive format to fat32. Unzip the file and rename the folder to the model code of your mobo. Then plug it to the specific usb port for BIOS flashing and press the BIOS flash button.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

I'm guessing you have the asus maximus 6 gene

So the correct mobo code is R6G. The one shown on the website is an example.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
