Can anyone help me? So from time to time I get terrible fps drops in different games. I have capped my fps to 240 for main monitor Hz. When I play games that are not very heavy on my PC, the games work fine. On the other hand, heavy games stutters a lot. If I do the UserBenchMark test everything running smoothly except CPU part of the test. CPU test looks good until the "cube" will start to stutter and my fps will drop as low as 7. So can my CPU be broker or faulty somehow? I've been looked at the temperatures of my pc and they all seems to be normal. I have restored BIOS back to default settings and that didn't help either. Yesterday I checked the CPU to make sure there is enough thermal paste and yes there was. It makes games unplayable so I desperately need help...

Here list of my PC parts:

Asus ROG-STRIX Z-490F

Intel i7-10700K

(4 x 8GB) Vengeance LPX, DDR4 3600MHz

Asus ROG-STRIX GOLD 750W

GeForce ROG-STRIX RTX 3070

1TB SAMSUNG SSD

Here is link to userBenchMark test video that might give you a better idea of what it's all about.

Thanks in advance to everyone who helps!

it doesn't matter as the cpu is being tested not the gpu. it would make sense that low fps would happen if the cpu is at 100% usage during a test.

don't.

userbenchmark is a joke , the IGN of benchmarks designed to sell you hardware , nothing more. stop using it.

cap it lower then. heavy games aren't going to run at 240fps on that rig so cap it until it runs smoothly

My friend has this almost the same build. If he does the same benchmark test the lowest fps he gets is around 200 or something (and the cube does not stutter at all). So it should not go that low (obvious).. By heavy games I meant for example battle royale games where I get that maximum fps with low graphics.

The micro-stutter is usually caused by a faulty USB device forcing an interrupt storm. Not always, but the majority of situations I've seen.

If you haven't already done so, update the BIOS and Nvidia drivers.

Another utility that you can use to assist in identification of the problem is LatencyMon.
