What is a good GPU for a i7 2600 or 3770k

I have a hd 6950 2gb and what is a good pair for the cpu

Unless you're on an extremely tight budget, don't worry about buying 'too much' GPU. You can always move the GPU to a newer PC, even if you're CPU-bottlenecked for now.

Agreed - If it's too much for what you have now at least you can't blame the GPU for any bottlenecks and as said right above, it can be used later with another, more updated build if you want.

I had a Geforce 2060 Founders in my i7-3700k..  I maxed the CPU long before the GPU.  I have since moved the 2060 into a i7-13700k.
