i7 13700K vs Ryzen 7900X3D

In terms of efficiency (for both Gaming and Productivity) - what do you think is a better choice between the two?

Performance wise in productivity they trade blows, though IIRC the 13700K tends to win slightly more (will depend on your specific use case for whether it matters though). In gaming the 7900X3D pulls ahead hard. In terms of power efficiency, the 7900X3D is about 2/3 the power draw of the 13700K. That said, the 13700K costs 2/3 the price of the 7900X3D, so I'm not really sure why you're comparing these two specific SKUs: the 7900X3D is better, but you'd expect that for spending an extra $200

It is a hard choice... Intel option has 4 more cores but i still don't enjoy the concept of performance and efficiency cores. I'd go with the 7900x3d overall because i feel like AMD will be the longer lasting high performance chip. It also depends on the prices as well. In my country i can go for a 13900k instead of 7900x3d for the same prices but if we compare a 13700k and a 7900x3d, i recommend AMD option.

Specs: Ryzen 7 5700G w/ Wraith Prism(locked at 4.2 ghz)

32 GB(4x8) Kingston HyperX Predator 3200 MHZ CL 16 RAM

Asus Prime B550M-A Wi-Fi

3 SSD(250 nVME+480+250)

Cooler Master H500 w/ 750W +80 Bronze PSU

MSI GTX 670 Jurassic Park edition(i don't know the model name it is just as old as a dinosaur)

Dont forget the 7900x3d turns into a 6 core when gaming so the 13700k might end up better in the long run having 8 p cores, and if gaming becomes extreamly thread dependant in the future it will have 24 available not 12
