Heres the thing, i have 250$ burning in my pocket and i currently have a i3-3220 cpu and a gtx 650 ti, wanted to buy an i5-3570k, but saw that the gtx 760 will be on sale for 229 to 259$ and this month only they will bring you a free watch dog download code(which i was gonna buy). And i was wondering if the i3 will bottleneck the gtx760 or that i should just buy the i5.

personally, i would go with the i5 first, but if ur a hard core fps gamer, go with the GTX 760

Definitely spend the money on a GPU. That i3 won't bottleneck a GTX 760 too badly, if at all. Also a good price for a 760, with a (hopefully) good game.

You won't notice much of a difference in gaming performance with a CPU upgrade, only by about 5ish FPS. However, a GTX 760 destroyes a 650ti in terms of performance, it is definitely a worthwhile upgrade

My PC:

4670k      GTX 760 ACX      CoolerMaster Hyper 412s      Fractal Design Node 804      G1 Sniper M5      Corsair RM 650      WD Red 1TB     Samsung 840 Evo 120GB

I been playing all the gpu crushing games, crysis 3, metro, AC4, thief, titanfall so i thought what if the cpu is gonna hold back the 760? Im gonna upgrade anyways but later on when i have the money for the cpu

AC4 will probably lag a decent bit when you're on islands. Crysis 3 might lag a bit if you're in more open areas, not sure about titanfall and thief, Metro shouldn't lag too bad.

In my opinion, if you can then get the GTX 760 for now, then when you have the money get the 3570k. If you won't have enough money to get it relatively soon though, then I'd say get the 3570k and overclock the 650 ti (if that's something you're willing to do) because the 650 ti is still a decent card, and plus you won't have a CPU bottleneck, which means at worst you can always lower settings to get the performance you want, you can't do always do that when you have a CPU bottleneck.

Previously Trogdor8freebird

5800x | Asus x570 Pro Wifi (barely enough for 64GB apparently given it's 2133 and still crashes sometimes) | 64GB DDR4 | 3070 Ti 8GB | Love that whole weeb shit

i vote for the gpu upgrade at this time. Your cpu is not realy a bottleneck atm, only in metro last light.

Unless the performance of the current 650Ti still satisfy you, then you could think about a cpu upgrade. But in most games you play you will not see much of a diffrence, only in metro, which is a game, that like both gpu and cpu power. Crysis 3 maybe, but crysis still destroy´s gpu´s mainaly.

Maybe you could sell your current 650Ti. and level your budget up, to get a GTX770 or 280X, in GPU bound games that will be a huge diffrence, offcourse in gpu+cpu bound games your i3 will start to bottleneck those semi highend cards abit. but still it will not be that terrible.
