Question about bottleneck and a few other things.

I have an issue in this Bf2042 where my cpu utilization is 80-90% most of the time, I heard that bf2042 really tanks the cpu so maybe this is normal, is it because I am bottlenecking? I tried higher resolutions but it the only thing that changes is the gpu utilization going from 45-50% to 80-95%.  Another question I also wanted to know why my game isn't smooth when I don't use vsync? is it because I only have a 144hz monitor so when the frames go further than this range it become choppy? Because one of my problems I have been having with my setup is constant stuttering in any game, and it rarely happens in bf2042 that why I am enjoying it so much, but can this simply just be from my cpu bottlenecking me?

Rx 6900 xt Founders

2x8gb ddr4 3600mhz ripjaws ram 

850w 80+ platnium thor psu 

asus b 550f gaming motherboard

Which resolution are you playing at?

That is a 4K system. if you're playing on 1080p, you have a huge CPU bottleneck.

So, do you think all of my problems such as stuttering all stem from being severely bottlenecked at 1080p? The only reason I prefer playing at higher res is because I only have a 1080p monitor and when you change the res it turns everything small on screen because I dont have the right monitor. Is there a workaround for this?

Yes, that's your issue. If you don't want to upgrade your monitor to at least a 1440p one, you can freely downgrade the GPU.

Or you can upgrade to a 5800X3D and decrease the bottleneck significantly.

Unfortunately, I cant easily just go out and buy and expensive monitor or cpu or I would have done so already, but for now ill just upscale my game to 4k and play like that for now.

That's also a good option. It's just probably the screen being too small for 4K so you might have issues reading text and such. Might want to get your screen closer to you.

Some games have scaling options and such.

 

I find it hard to believe one could spend $900 on a GPU and $150 on an AIO to cool a $150 CPU but not have money to get a $300 1440p 144Hz monitor.

I guess wrong priorities. Or misinformation when buying.

Hey man, Im not the one who paid for the parts to begin with, i'm broke as hell I actually got the gpu for 600$ and a the cpu for 150$ and the pump I got for free due to an rma with corsair.
