I'm not sure in what order I should connect my loop. I know the pump is always right after the reservoir but what about the rest. I have a very simple loop just the CPU but I'm still a bit confused.

Should I go with...

reservoir to pump to CPU water block to radiator and back to reservoir

or

reservoir to pump to radiator to CPU water block and back to reservoir

for better results? Are there any advantages/disadvantages between the two methods that you guys are aware of...

Most tests I've seen say the order only changes the temps by a few degrees C

Linux "nerd".  If I helped you please like my post and maybe add me as a friend :)  ^_^!

There is no difference in what order you put your waterblocks as long as pump and res are in order. Temperatures are cumulative and the fluid goes so fast there is maybe .01*C change between components. In the end, it is all equal no matter where you put your blocks. Just keep tubing runs as short as possible, and avoid crossing tubing over each other.

The order won't change the temps by much at all. The main thing you have to keep in mind is that the res has to be above the pump (gravity to fill your loop FTW!)

The reason the temps of the water won't change is because the water is in one loop, and it will always reach a certain temperature (the delta, I believe)

Best bet is to set up what looks good (so you don't end up with what we call in the business "tooob penis"), and then see if it's practical - then fill it up.
Chances are there will be a leak somewhere and you will have to empty it and fill it up again. Or a bend won't be perfect or something.

Cheers,
Komm
