I have a Gigabyte 780 GHz edition with the stock bios. At the moment, I am limited by voltage as my power limit goes up to 116% (2 8pins). Is increasing the voltage by 62 mv going to cause a greatly decreased lifespan or will I be ok as long as I can cool it. I have heard that CPUs lifespans change from 20+ years to 10+ years with overvolting, but I am not sure about my GPU. Running at ~65 Celsius in a pretty hot room if temps are needed. Thanks for your input. (: I would like my 780 to last 3+ years (not at full load)

Applications like Afterburner won't let you crank the voltage up anywhere near where it would degrade your GPU. It's only max. 100mV, that's 0.1V. The only thing that can become critical on some cards are the VRM temps. Shouldn't be a problem with the Windforce cooler though.

your gpu's capacitors will be the first to die. that'll be about 5-10 years from now.

you have to do some real work to degrade a gpu... like modified oc utilities that let you go to 1.3V+ and really horrible temps, for months.

A gtx780 is not going to let it's self die. Throttles like a cpu. so the heat is out of the question. ..........Now your voltage. As long as you're not using modded oc utilities, you're safe.
