What drives partitions do I select for full wipe?

Do it like this.

Delete every.

Don't format everything.

Click the small drive (0) and let the installer go through.

When in windows, open Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) and format the large drive.

 

But wait, is this a Windows 7 install?

I have  a 256gb ssd and a 1tb hdd. What do I do here if I want to format my 2 drives and start from scratch?

 

My guess is to go to Drive 0 partition 1 and click format then go to Drive 1 partition 2 and select format. I dont want to mess anything up though

Drive 0 Partition 1 will be the main drive on the 256GB SSD.  Drive 0 Partition 2 will be something or other. usually system files from an OEM vendor or something. Drive 1 Partition 1 is a Windows hidden partition. It is safe to delete this. Drive 1 Partition 2 will be the 1TB HDD.

 

To be fair the OEM (reserved) partition is also safe to delete.  it won't have anything super functional on it.  If it were me I'd just delete all the partitions and start over starting on drive 0

 With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

Now just go with "Next" on the 240GB drive.

The other drive, format that from inside Windows.

Im in the desktop and both my drives are wiped right now and everything is working fine

 

 

Before I did the fresh install I put USB as #1 boot priority.  I unplugged it now that im done,do I have to go back into bios and set the SSD as boot #1?

1 more question guys, I deleted everything on that windows screen but now when I go to "this pc" I dont see my 1TB HDD.

 

How do I fix this?

Go back to my first answer. Disk Management.
