I'm looking for a controller for Steam, there really isn't a budget. Also it would be awesome if you could explain why it's good. (I DO NOT WANT XBOX360 CONTROLLER)

Seeing that you don't want a Xbox controller, I don't really see other options. Logitech has some and maybe even Razer, but I use the Xbox wired controller and I think it is great for Big Picture.

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

Does the PS3/4 controller work on PC? Playstation controllers are the best imo.

I would say either the Xbox One controller, or the PS4 Controller. Maybe the PS3 Controller if that's more your style.

I personally have an xbox one controller right next to me and I must say it feels quite nice. Unfortunately Microsoft has seen fit to take their sweet time releasing an official PC driver to support the damned thing.

Your best bet is probably a PS3 or PS4 controller, the Xbox One controller looks nearly identical in form to the 360 controller so I don't know if it would be any different.  The Logitech controller on the other hand has an awesome Dpad, but the analog sticks force you to hold the controller in a very ackward way so I wouldn't recommend it if you plan on buying it for the analog sticks.

I have Logitech F710. It's feels amazing. It uses the Dual Shock layout instead of the Xbox one (I prefer the Dual Shock layout). The D-Pad is way better than anything Microsoft has ever done. All the buttons feel just right. It can be quite heavy though, being wireless and using two AA batteries. Oh, it can also switch between Xinput (the Xbox controller standard for modern games) and DirectInput (for older games that do not support Xinput). Greatly recommended. Would be my favorite pad ever if it was as light as a Dual Shock controller.
