Maybe I just need to have patience, Im so close yet so far. One things for sure, I can't stand this 3700x anymore.

Totally understandable. The stutter fest with my 9900k@5.1ghz and RTX 4080 was insane.  Metro Exodus / Tiny Tina's Wonderland was unplayable so I swapped it as fast as I could.  With the 7700x I have absolutely NO stutter and the experience is fantastic ( higher avg frames as well ). In Hell Let Loose I went from 110-120fps stutter fest to an insane 260fps by just changing the CPU... I was bottlenecked like crazy. Both system used 32gb ram.  Just wait 8 more days, you can do it!

To wait for 7950x3d or buy intel i9 39700k paired with a 4090?

I recently purchased a TUF 4090 and currently have it running with my old amd 3700x so im needing to upgrade just don't  know if I should stick with amd or go back to intel. I do plan to use pc for some work related things so I could put extra cores to use but it is after all primary my gaming rig. I really just want the best out of my 4090.

Well. 7950x3d reviews are juuust around the corner ( 8 days ) so wait for reviews. I hope you mean 13900k because the 39700k might be 60 years away.  I had to swap my 9900k ( slightly faster than 3700x ) as it could not keep up with my RTX 4080 at all, I bought the 7700x and I am extremely happy with that CPU.  I plan on getting a X3D later whenever they release a 9800X3D in a few years or so ( hopefully).  So yes, definitely get a newer CPU to pair with your 4090. But wait for reviews 🙂

wait for the 7950x3d unless you need a new cpu now.

My First PC
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
Cooler: Asus TUF Gaming LC240
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-f gaming
RAM: 4x8 GB Corsair Vengeance RS (3200 MHz, CL16)
Storage: 1tb Samsung 980 Pro
Graphics Card: Asus Dual RTX 2060 OC
Case: Deepcool Matrexx 50
Power Supply: Corsair RM650x
Headset: Razer Blackshark V2
Keyboard: Corsair K70 Pro Mini (Speed Silver switches)
Mouse: Razer Viper Mini
Only changes I have made is I sold the 2060 for $235 AUD and bought a Powercolor Red Devil 6700 XT for $400 second hand (it was barely used, think I scored a deal on Ebay with that).
I'm learning video editing and trying to get some cash as a high school student.
I like F1, my favourite team is Scuderia Ferrari and favourite driver is Charles Leclerc. Favourite track is Red Bull Ring in Austria.
Playing with a 1080p 60hz monitor right now, hoping to upgrade to a 1440p 144hz one soon.

Living in AU and that pisses me off since every event is late at night or early in the morning (almost every F1 race starts around 11 PM AEST time)

If you can afford a 4090, you should prob get the fastest gaming CPU you can afford. At present, it's going to be the 13900KS. But I suspect the X3D chips will beat it.
