So the HTC One Prime recently leaked from some Chinesse websites, but once Evleaks tweeted it, it got a lot of attention as they are a huge name in leaks.

An HTC employee gets pissed and it's understandable. Leaks have really hurt them this year.

The HTC One Prime is supposed to be a updated M8 with S805 and 1440p screen in similar vain to the rumored S5 Prime which is a S5 with 1440p screen and S805.

Yeah this could be really bad since the M8 is still quite new in my eyes. People will probably wait for the Prime or not get the M8 because of this leak. It's easy to get your first phone right away without questioning but to upgrade to a M8 from another phone doesn't make sense with this leak. Then again we don't know when it's going to be released

Probably Q3 seeing as that is when the 1440p panels and S805 will be available.

You seem to overestimate how many people research phones before buying. I have a tech savy friend who bought the M7 less than a month before the M8 was released, well after "everyone" knew it was coming out. 99% of people just walk into the store and buy based on the salesmen's comments.

Htc one prime and now the S5 prime. I think this may be related to android silver? maybe?

Panels are already available. The S805 is...meh. I don't see the point of waiting for that when the 810 is supposed to be out very quickly after.

Leaks of unannounced hardware often really hurt the manufacturer, especially in HTC's case. By now this company is already a victim lying on the floor that's getting kicked.

810 is Q1 2015. Likely the M9 unless they go with Intel's 14nm atom.
