Star Wars Battlefront Companion Website

Hello everyone,

I’ve been trying to get this website to work properly on safari: https://api.battlefront.dice.se

It won’t let you log in unless you switch to desktop mode, which is easy enough, but even then it does not seem to be communicating with the game properly because the “credits” you earn while playing it do not transfer to the actual PC/Console game. It will however, accurately display your friends list.

The reason that I’m asking is because my friend has a 4th generation iPad and to this day it works fully as intended for him. I use an iPhone XS Max and was wondering why it would work for him and not me, and if there’s a way I can fix it.

Thanks in advance!

Already tried on chrome and it didn’t work. Would Firefox be any different?

Most likely. Websites regularly work in one browser then refuse to in others. Tis why I always have multiple browsers installed for just this sort of troubleshooting.

Firefox just uses google by default. Tried it and it didn’t work. I’m mainly curious why it would be able to transfer data on an old device and not on a new one? Because I can log in on any browser but it won’t sync data from the game.

Wrong. Firefox and Chrome are different.

Security updates. Your device probably blocks some script deemed unsecure by apple.
Plus that game is pretty old, the developer probably no longer working on the website to fix the bug.

Thank you. Yeah they’re no longer working on it. Is there a way around those security updates? It doesn’t work all the way on pc either, even though I turned on the Internet explorer mode in edge for it.

go to that game forum, find someone with similar problem, you may get a solution.

otherwise use old devices with outdated browser like that ipad 4.

Using an old browser on a newer device wouldn’t work?

Or as an alternative, assuming individual scripts are being silently blocked in the background, is there a way to view them and allow them on iOS or any other OS?

no.

So it’s a problem mainly with the OS and not the browser?

I opened up dev tools like you suggested and found this message:

"A page or script is accessing at least one of navigator.userAgent, navigator.appVersion, and navigator.platform. Starting in Chrome 101, the amount of information available in the User Agent string will be reduced."

I'm not super experienced with coding, but could this be causing the failure to sync properly with the game? It says that this causes: "0 breaks, 0 errors." But it stops this giant js function so idk... https://eaassets-a.akamaihd.net/bfcompanionprod/static/main/bundles/4ae1651/en_US.mobile.js

Also, I found the scripts that aren't working that are supposed to "grab" info from the actual PC game and chrome dev tools says none of them are blocked, so maybe It really is that mobile js?
